The waters at Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are reportedly now closed. I am sending out inquiries to tons of vacation rental by owner properties all along the NC, SC and GA coast. Have a feeling we won’t have much luck as so many other people are doing the same. I’ll give it most of this week then we have to decide on plan C…..Great Lakes or Mountains or something else altogether…..Kids are SO looking forward to a beach though so I’m crossing my fingers. But NOT holding my breath
Update: This round of inquiries is going better. By better I mean I am getting replies, not finding much but I’m at least getting told “not available”. Do have one so far that is open on Edisto Beach but is a 2 bedroom. Will wait at least until tomorrow to decide.
I wasn’t finding much in Savannah or Tybee when I was looking for my brother last week either.
Have a property on Edisto Beach and one on Atlantic Beach (doesn’t have wifi but would add it–need it for the ebay biz) that are available so far. At this point, not too picky. I’ll take almost any beach right now. Mountains would be ok but we have just been talking BEACH all winter so….
